Plans and rate limits
Plan tiers define monthly usage budgets, and cooldown windows enforce rate limiting over time.
Available plans and monthly budget
- Free: $4 budget.
- Scout: $20 budget.
- Pro: $60 budget.
Plan cards in billing describe Scout for individual/small projects and Pro for team/production workloads.
Model access by tier
- Paid tiers can access the full curated model list.
- Free tier is restricted to the free-tier model subset.
- Default model selection differs by tier (free and paid use different defaults).
Cooldown rate limiting logic
Rate limiting uses cooldown windows measured in USD usage (derived from token costs), not only request counts.
- Free tier: fixed daily window with $4/day budget.
- Scout and Pro: daily budget derived from monthly budget / 30 days.
- If usage in the active window exceeds budget, the account enters cooldown until enough earlier usage rolls out of that window.
Worked examples
- Scout (~$0.67/day): spending $0.80 inside a 24h window can trigger cooldown.
- Pro ($2/day): spending $1.20 in 24h stays under daily window.
- Free ($4/day): hitting or exceeding $4 in 24h can trigger cooldown for that window.
